Job Summary:

Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Test Automation Engineer for a 6-month to 1-year consulting engagement supporting one of our key customers. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Selenium, Appium, mobile testing frameworks, integration testing, and Zephyr test management. You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for both web and mobile applications, ensuring high-quality releases and seamless user experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Selenium for web applications and Appium for mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Develop comprehensive, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts that validate functional, integration, and regression requirements of the Flutter-based mobile app.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to identify test scenarios, define acceptance criteria, and ensure complete test coverage.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Utilize Zephyr (or other test management tools) to plan, manage, and report test cases and results.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for automation frameworks and QA processes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong emphasis on Selenium and Appium.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile testing (iOS and Android) using Appium or other frameworks.
  • Strong experience with integration testing methodologies and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Zephyr for test case management and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and integration of automated tests into pipelines.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based device testing platforms like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or AWS Device Farm.
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
  • Experience with SmartBear software (e.g., ReadyAPI, TestComplete) for API and mobile test automation is a plus.

The compensation for this position is $45 to $50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for a benefits package including; medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, 7 paid holidays and 13 days accrued PTO.
